You can probably get one here:

You will need to specify both the extended, retracted lengths, rod dia, cylinder dia,end fittings,and newtons.

Richard Thanks! I can get close using their configuration tool and catalog. May have to go this route and then modify it. Excellent tip.

Years back I needed the canopy gas spring for my LAK-17a.Â* With some 
digging on the internet I was able to cross reference it with the hood 
(bonnet) lift spring used on the mid-90s 7-series BMW.Â* Picked one up at 
the local Autozone.
